Hi I'm Chelsy

Welcome to my life...
...SPOILER ALERT

it hasn't got according to the timeline I had planned out my senior year of high school.

In 2010 I started college for ag-business and chased cans (ran barrels) on my college rodeo team.

Halfway through my sophomore year, I found out I was pregnant with my daughter Skyler. Skyler was born in August, we got married in October, and I spent the next six months trying to figure out what I was going to do with my life.

During that time, I picked up my camera like every new mom and started snapping photos of my new little one. I decided to open up shop and create my own photography business.

ONE OF THE MOST FRUSTRATING THINGS THAT I FOUND WHILE LEARNING HOW TO PHOTOGRAPH WEDDINGS WAS THAT NONE OF THE PROMINENT EDUCATORS BUILT THEIR BUSINESSES WITH KIDS.

So many of them were single or husband-wife teams that seemed to have endless amounts of time to devote to their business and marketing.

I FELT ALONE, LIKE I HAD MISSED MY CHANCE TO START A BUSINESS PRE-KIDS, AND I WOULD ALWAYS BE BEHIND.

It took years to piece together something that worked for me and my family. Lots of trial and error, and buckets of tears.

By the time Skyler was about 4, I finally had things figured out. I had workflows, and systems, and a marketing plan that was working. Things were rolling along like a well-oiled machine.

Then my husband, Justin, got sick

Sick is kind of an understatement; he ended up having open-heart surgery three times within nine months, all while I was pregnant with our second child. What was supposed to be one valve replacement ended up being three-valve replacements, an omentum flap, a pectoral flap, and a pacemaker on which he is 100% dependent.

2017 and 2018 were the toughest years of my life

I was exhausted.  I was up all night with a newborn, and then as soon as I would fall asleep an alarm was going off to change Justin's IVs (we were lucky enough to be able to do home infusion therapy).

yet my business

continued to

grow

and it

ran so smoothly

I absolutly

loved my clients

and

they loved me + my work

It was possible to grow my business while life was falling apart

So...

Here is the thing

Often we find ourselves doing all the things to reach goals that aren't even ours

deep down You know...

let's change that!

you are allowed to run your business your own way, but you don't feel like anyone ever gave you permission, or the tools to actually do it.

Imagine waking up in the morning with an email from a bride who is so in love with your work, your style, and your personality. She is willing to change her wedding date just to ensure she has YOU booked as her wedding photographer.

You send over your pricing with confidence while your coffee brews and of course she doesn't even bat an eye at your recent price increase. In fact she wants to add two more additional hours to ensure you have enough time to capture her entire day.

Her contract is signed and deposit is paid before your done cooking breakfast for the kids!

...your work day looked like this?

wouldn't it be nice if...

walking into a space where you could ask ANY photography question and leave empowered with the answers you were looking for-- instead of feeling inadequate....

...totally abandoning the cookie cutter mold someone else said your business ‘should’ look like and finally feeling permission to build it in a way that makes sense for YOUR GOALS.

for two days of wedding photography immersion at the beautiful Lone Oak Farms venue in Ayr, ND.

I’m going to help you become confident in YOUR wedding photography process and have your business running so smoothly it makes you feel ecstatic each time you sit down to work.
